Grades

 Got my final grades today. I am both relieved they're decent and annoyed that they aren't higher



so my only problem with these grades is that both should be A's bc ....standard college grading scale is 90-100 = a 80-89 = b 70-79 = c etc.

some of the professors in the program use the old 92-100 = A scale that I haven't seen since high school.

My Collection Development class I had a 91.81% normal scale would have been an A her scale she didn't round up and gave me a B+

What's worse, my YA reading and literacy class used a 93-100= A scale. I had a 90.34% (tho it's confusing bc the other day he went in and changed all the grades to be out of 95 points instead of out of 100 points so the system currently says i have a 95%) and so I have a B+ in that.


oh well at least I didn't have to invoke the "we're allowed two C's in this program" ever. And I pass and I shouldn't care it's just annoying lol.

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't score A's, but congrats on the high scores nonetheless! You clearly worked very hard! And yeah, I also loathed those weirdo grading scales. I don't blame you for being annoyed by it.

and yeah - I COmPLETELY understand. Although that is confusing. you would think there would be a uni wide standard!

generally speaking there is a standard, both grad and undergrad. but i've now had 3 classes that use a different scale.
